CODE OF CONDUCT- TUTORS

1.     SCHEDULING

1.1. Sessions: Sessions should be scheduled in advance by the student directly with the tutor. The tutor bears the responsibility of introducing themselves to the student, ensuring a positive initial connection. Additionally, the tutor is expected to promptly respond and align their schedule with the student's, facilitating the allocation of the student’s pre-purchased hours for a more effective and personalized learning experience.

1.2. Punctuality: Tutors and students are expected to arrive on time for sessions. If the student anticipates being late and fails to notify their tutor, their assigned tutor is required to wait on ZOOM, Microsoft Teams, or other virtual platform of choice, for the first 25 minutes of the scheduled meeting. After that, the tutor will log off and unfortunately, the tutor will not be paid for that specific session.

2.     CANCELATION

2.1. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations require a minimum of 4 hours' notice for proper adjustments and should be communicated by the student or the student’s parent.

2.2. Notice: Adequate written notice should be communicated to the student directly through text message or email. Subsequently, the session will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.

3.     ONLINE ETIQUETTE

3.1  Professionalism: All interactions during and prior to tutoring sessions should be conducted in a professional and respectful manner. Tutors are expected to dress appropriately and select a quiet, distraction-free environment for sessions. Further, use of profanities and explicit language is strictly prohibited.

3.2  Technical Preparedness: Tutors must ensure that their devices, internet connection, and necessary software (e.g., ZOOM) are in proper working order before the scheduled session.

3.3  Recording: Recording the tutoring sessions is not permitted. The confidence and privacy of all participants must be respected.

3.4  Accommodations: Tutors are required to accommodate students to the best of their abilities based on the Questionnaire the student has submitted, or any additional information that was expressed to the tutor directly.

4.     CONFIDENTALITY

4.1  Student Information: Tutors are strictly prohibited from disclosing any information received about the student through ZOOM or any other medium to any third-party. Doing so is a violation of the confidentiality and trust inherent in our educational business model, and it may result in immediate termination of the tutor's engagement with our services.

5.     COMPLIANCE

4.1   Acknowledgement: By participating in Tutoring By A College Professor, you acknowledge and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Failure to comply may result in the termination of tutoring services. We appreciate your commitment to creating a positive and enriching learning environment.
